Kitchen sisters Alisha and Niki Serras, and partner Brian Gamache, owners of Scavolini by Cucina Moda take the guess work out of a kitchen or bath remodel project. Open since 2010, they quickly established a client network that is in love with design and looking to use their home to express their personal style. Traditional, contemporary and everywhere in between, Scavolini has something for everyone. The team works with you from the design stage all the way to installation of the cabinets, seeing each client get to realize their dream home!

Tips and trends: Home remodeling is back on the rise in 2013, up 7 percent from last year. The most popular rooms to remodel are the kitchen and bathroom. These are also the rooms where you will see the largest return on investment — in some cases as much as 80 percent — when the home is sold

There has been a cultural shift toward increased interest in home decor. People love Scavolini for their ability to completely personalize kitchen and bath remodels; clients can literally choose any color in the rainbow. Self-expression has flooded into home design.

Express Yourself!: We are constantly seeing edgier design choices in terms of color and textures. Each kitchen and bath is completely different, and homeowners are more confident than ever when choosing their aesthetics and function.

Social Kitchen: Treating the kitchen as part of a larger social space, like dining or living rooms, is a major trend. We are seeing more bar seating and hiding appliances behind panels when possible. As the kitchen becomes the heart of the household, cabinetry becomes almost like functional furniture.

Powder Room POP: Bigger is not always better when remodeling your powder room. Homeowners love to “wow” their guests with dramatic cabinets, flamboyant wallpapers, and lavish lighting; the small scale allows you to indulge in bold effects and luxury styles, guilt-free!
