She has also worked for other shelter publications. Editorial director, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles On top of his editorial duties, Smith is a familiar face on local Atlanta television where he comments on style and design. In 2006, he was awarded the Media Award from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Georgia Chapter. Smith has also appeared on DirectTV’s Resort & Residence network and has lectured at universities in Georgia. Design Consultant, Canterbury Design Kitchen Interiors, Morristown, N.J. Dove, who holds a Master of Architecture from UCLA, has designed kitchens from California to Italy. After working for a kitchen-design firm in Colorado, he returned to his native New Jersey. Dove has won two national design awards, has been published in national magazines, and has appeared on HGTV’s Kitchen Trends. Architect, Alterstudio Architects, Austin, Texas In addition to his professional practice, Alter keeps a foot in academia, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in design, construction, and theory at the University of Texas at Austin. He has been published in Architecture, Progressive Architecture, and Architectural Design, among other journals. Principal, Stephen Chung, Architect, Boston Chung’s studio concentrates on small to mid-size residential and hospitality projects in the Northeast. He has taught design and drawing at Syracuse, Cornell, and Yale. He also has appeared on several design programs on television, including on HGTV and Showtime. At press time, he was in development for a 13-part series for public television, Cool Spaces! The Best of New Architecture. Editor-in-chief, House Beautiful magazine Turner joined House Beautiful as style director in 2006, and was named to its top editorial position in 2010. Before joining Hearst Magazines, Turner was the founding editor-in-chief of Cottages & Gardens publications with magazines in the Hamptons, Palm Beach, and Connecticut. Since 1985, he has covered design for other publications, including House & Garden, Metropolitan Home, and HomeStyle.
