As a full-service interior designer specializing in exclusive residential and select commercial spaces in the Detroit area and beyond, my key to creating a memorable interior means staying loyal to its residents.
Home should be one thing: comfortable.
Finding the floorplan for comfort is different for every client. As we work together to decide which fabrics and decor will help get us there, I lean into years of experience that have made me as fluent in Sophisticated as Bohemian. It’s a flexibility that makes creating rooms with chandeliers and silk upholstery as natural for me as making a space ready for a steady stream of kids and pets.
My fluency in style comes from a multicultural background painted with plenty of travel and international education. Originally from Poland, gray dominated my landscape as a kid. The world outside look pretty bland, but the world inside the European interior design magazines I stockpiled was the exact opposite. Color, life, texture, energy — I was hooked.
My eventual design education in the United States refined my skills. And exposure to worldwide inspiration like the Alhambra palace in Granada, and the narrow streets of Chefchaouen, Morocco, evolved my aesthetic. (New York City is a constant source of energy, fuel and inspiration!)
But what really elevates my work to the top shelf is my precision in creating personalized spaces. I work closely with clients not only to build a beautiful space, but to really give their personality — and their routines — a place to unfold and settle in.
After 15 years dedicated to translating the definition of home, I’ve become known for my collaborative spirit. I look at projects as partnerships, a chance to curate something exceptional from floor to door.
The proof? It’s in the homes where new and repeat clients are content and comfortable. It’s also in winning multiple Design Awards, and being featured in regional and national magazines like Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida, Kitchen & Bath Design News, Luxe Interiors & Design, Detroit Home, The Detroit News, The Free Press, Neighborhood Seen, and Somerset Collection.
Whatever recognition I get for my work, my enthusiasm for personalizing the journey from concept to comfort is what really makes me feel at home, sweet home. That, and surrounding myself with art and accessories that make me as happy now as those design magazines did as a kid.
