Annie Kordas Interiors offers both residential and commercial design services. Annie, her team members, and her expert tradesmen take care with each project in listening to the client and his/her likes and dislikes. Creating a space that is unique to the individual and addresses both aesthetic preferences and functionality is priority, above all. Annie embraces all design styles: neutrals, color-rich, casual and formal. She enjoys using furniture from all time periods to highlight the power of juxtaposition in the art form that is interior design. While she sees the beauty and value in a maximalist, traditionally decorated room, she also can view a minimalist and contemporary space equally as riveting. “Less is more sometimes and achieving a delicate balance in a space while keeping the client’s needs at the forefront is challenging.” Annie welcomes this process and enjoys following each project from concept to fruition. Though many of the spaces Annie designs are quite different, they all remain curated, thoughtful and most importantly sophisticated.
Annie Kordas Interiors was established in 2015 and is based out of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. She has collaborated with many builders over the years for kitchen and bath designs and enjoys all aspects of the craft. One of her largest commercial projects was the complete design of the new Grosse Pointe Orthodontics office, which opened its doors in 2020. Annie participated in the 2020 Junior League of Detroit Designers’ Show House in Indian Village and received a 1st place Detroit Design Award for her nursery. She has been on the cover of the Detroit News and Free Press several times for her work. Annie was also featured on Detroit Public Television’s Designer Home Tour in 2021. Annie believes that a home is very special: it is a sanctuary and a shelter at times, a space that makes us smile, gives us pride when entertaining or joy when in complete solitude. Most of all “Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends and family belong and laughter never ends.”
