Architect Glenda Meads, left, of Birmingham’s Glenda Meads Architects, designed this butler pantry/stair with the homeowner and cabinetry expert Eline Nealer (from Rochester-based Dillman & Upton). “It works well with a cool white paint color,” Meads says. “It’s bright, clean, and modern in a tone-on-tone architectural palette of white walls, white trim, and white built-in elements against dark wood floors.”
